Why StarsTask

A clearer way to navigate university assignments.

Every course words its briefs differently, and the useful detail is rarely where you expect it. StarsTask keeps the published briefs in one searchable place, so you can compare how a task was set and spend your time on the work itself.

Sign in to search and filter real assignment briefs.

  • Learning reference

Read how a task was framed before you plan your own.

  • Student community

Contributed by students, credited to their profile.

  • Privacy by design

Assignment content is visible only after signing in.

Three steps

How StarsTask works

From a first search to a contribution you are happy to put your name on.

  1. Search the archive

Filter by course, semester, type, or tag. Every public page works without an account.

  2. Read the real brief

See the description, deadline, references, and downloadable attachments before you commit to the work.

  3. Give something back

Sign in with Google to publish the briefs you receive. You can edit or delete only your own contributions.

Our mission

Built so no student starts a brief without context.

When students share the briefs they receive, everyone can see how a task was framed, what was expected, and where the difficulty really sat. StarsTask is a learning community first, and an archive second.

  • Student first

Built around the people writing the assignments.

  • Community driven

The archive grows one contribution at a time.

  • Privacy conscious

Only briefs cleared for public view are ever listed.

  • Growing archive

New courses and semesters arrive as students share.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is StarsTask?

A shared archive of university assignment briefs. Students publish the assignments they receive so that other signed-in students can read what a task actually asks for before they start it.

Do I need an account to browse?

Yes. Sign in with Google to search and read assignments. Approved class pages remain public, but their assignments are only available after signing in.

How can I contribute an assignment?

Sign in with Google, then use the submit form to add the brief. If you submit inside a class, a class admin reviews it and confirms it may be published before it appears publicly.

Which sign-in methods are supported?

Google is the only sign-in method. We receive your name, avatar, and email address from Google, and only your name and avatar appear on your public contributor profile.

Can I edit or delete what I contributed?

Yes. You can edit or delete your own contributions at any time from your account. Nobody else can change them.
